At CrossReach, we’ve been supporting people across Scotland for over 150 years – and we’re still growing. Right now, we’re looking for caring, compassionate individuals to join our Learning Disabilities team as Support Workers.
This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to help someone live the life they choose – and to make a real difference every single day.
What will you be doing?
Working independently and as part of a small, dedicated team, you’ll support adults with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible. That could mean:
* Helping someone cook a meal, do their shopping, or keep their home safe and tidy
* Supporting personal care routines with dignity and respect
* Accompanying them to appointments, work placements, or social activities
* Promoting choice, independence, and inclusion at every turn
* Leading on care plans and reviews as a key worker
* Carrying out sleepovers and responding to emergencies when needed
* Working flexibly to meet needs across a 24-hour period
* Every day will bring something new – and the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the people you support.
What do you need to bring?
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Empathetic, reliable and committed to person-centred care
* Able to work confidently on your own and as part of a team
* A strong communicator who builds trust easily
* Comfortable using computers and online systems (for things like e-learning and support plans)
* Willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (if you don’t already have it)
* Experienced in social care – though we’ll provide full training if you’re new to the sector
* This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC, but don’t worry – we’ll guide you through the process.
Why join CrossReach?
We’re proud to be one of Scotland’s most established social care providers – but we’re also forward-thinking, innovative and committed to doing things properly.
As part of our team, you’ll get:
* A rewarding role with real purpose
* Ongoing support and training
* A chance to gain recognised qualifications
* Access to employee benefits and a generous pension
* A friendly, inclusive workplace where you can be yourself
If you’re ready to make a lasting difference and build a career you can be proud of – apply today.
