We are seeking a confident Finance Assistant to join our client’s team to play a crucial role in optimising their development and finance processes.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our client’s team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in Ebbsfleet, Kent, this on-site role will support the finance team in managing daily financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
* Process and maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
* Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure that discrepancies are addressed promptly.
* Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Financial Reporting:
* Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Support the finance team in preparing budget reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
* Compile financial data for audits and assist with internal and external audit processes.
Administrative Support:
* Handle day-to-day financial queries from suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
* Support payroll processing and ensure that employee records are up to date.
* Maintain accurate and organized financial files, both physical and digital.
Compliance & Procedures:
* Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
* Support in maintaining and updating financial procedures, ensuring they are in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
* At least 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role.
* Familiarity with financial systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Additional Attributes:
