We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Clinical Practice Development Nurse.
This role is part of the Quality & Compliance Team, focusing on implementing effective clinical outcomes, providing clinical peer supervision, and supporting best practice approaches with a continuous quality improvement focus. You will oversee the delivery of clinical audits and practice development schedules, including ad-hoc audits and investigations across multiple services. This diverse position offers the opportunity to drive innovative, evidence-based practices that enhance outcomes for residents living with complex neurodegenerative and mental health conditions.
This is an on-site role, with regular travel to services located in Hampshire, Surrey, Bristol, and a new location in Birmingham within the next 12-18 months. Remote working is not available.
What You Need
* Nurse Qualification ( RGN / RMN )
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and best practice guidelines
* Familiarity with the CQC Single Assessment Framework Quality Statements
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with research and best practices
* Expertise in MCA Assessments in line with the MCA Act 2005 and MCA 1989 (s.117 aftercare)
* Experience with CHC, FNC, ICB, and Local Authority funding (preferred)
* At least 2 years of clinical experience working with neurodegenerative and mental health conditions
* A minimum of 5 years' clinical experience supporting residents with additional needs
* Proven experience managing clinical projects with organisational impact
What You'll Do
* Oversee and coordinate clinical aspects of care
* Collaborate with management to ensure person-centred care delivery
* Provide clinical guidance, group supervision, and promote professional development among the nursing team
* Support the preceptorship training of newly qualified Nurses in line with NMC requirements
* Conduct clinical audits and investigations related to safeguarding and clinical safety
* Deliver evidence-based recommendations to governance committees
* Lead engaging, evidence-informed training workshops for nursing staff
* Assess clinical competencies in areas such as medication management, VOED, venepuncture, oral suctioning, catheterisation, syringe driver use, and pressure ulcer care
