The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Intervention Worker Wellbeing Focus at Hawthorns School, Mottram in Longdendale.
Salary: NJC scale points 12-17: £27,711 - £30,060 per annum (full time equivalent)
Actual Salary range pro rata: £23,700 - £25,709 per annum
Hours of work: 36 hours and 40 minutes per week/Term Time plus 5 days (195 days), Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm.
Commencing: as soon as possible
At Hawthorns School, we strive to create the best learning opportunities for every pupil, providing a specialist, high quality, relevant and balanced education for pupils aged 4-11 who have moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, and severe learning difficulties. All children and young people at Hawthorns School have an Education Health and Care Plan.
The role of Intervention Worker is a new and exciting opportunity as we settle into our brand-new building, opened in September 2024. The successful candidate will have:
* Written and verbal skills sufficient to meet the demands of the role.
* Demonstrable evidence of developing and implementing strategies to help children and their wellbeing.
* Experience of working with children and young people to support them in overcoming barriers to their personal, social or learning development.
* Experience of supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
This post will be based initially at Hawthorns School, however, all staff are employed by the MAT and are expected to work at any site within the New Bridge Group if required.
