Join Amplius as a Plasterer in our Internal Repairs Team (IRT), where you'll play a key role in maintaining safe and comfortable homes for our customers. You’ll inspect and assess plastering needs, carrying out both small and large repairs to a high standard.
Salary: £33,548 per year
Contract: Permanent
Your week: 39 hours (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm)
Location: Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
Snapshot of your role
Inspect domestic properties to identify plastering repairs needed.
Apply rendering, floating, and finishing coats to walls and ceilings.
Fit internal plasterboards and install partitions when required.
Install protective outer coverings, like pebbledash or sand, on exterior walls.
Keep the work vehicle in good condition, reporting any defects, damages, or accidents.
Safely store, transport, and maintain equipment and tools in working order.
Track and manage stock of materials, ordering or collecting supplies as needed.
Ensure the lone worker device and mobile tablet are used properly and are fully charged each day.
Participate in the out-of-hours service on a rota basis, with additional payment.
Your toolkit for success
City & Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ equivalent (preferably with post-qualification experience).
2+ years of plastering experience.
Strong customer service skills.
Experience with access equipment and platforms.
Ability to conduct inspections and manage risks.
Proactive, solution-focused attitude.
Experience mentoring and supporting colleagues.
Previous customer-facing experience.
Knowledge of health and safety practices.
Ability to manage van stock and work independently using a mobile device.
Clear communication skills.
A full driving license is essential for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
