Due to company growth, Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking for a professional Senior Commercial Administrator to work within our Highways division based out of our office in Andover. You will also have some responsibilities for our Traffic Management division within the role. Your role will be to manage best practice to maximise value and minimise risk and cost therefore a background in a similar role is essential as we require someone to be commercially and financially aware. Due to location of our office in Grateley Village, a drivers licence is essential. Location: Andover, Hampshire Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday Salary: £37,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) Responsibilities – but not limited to: Manage Operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects Responsible for commercial performance and cost data analysis Ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of records Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost Produce reports and monitor efficiencies Overseeing sub-contract activities and costings Responsible for performing data analysis Ensure a good working relationship is made and maintained between the Operations Team Resolve queries from the Operational Team/Commercial Manager Provide support on invoices/PO's Maintaining of our electronic and document files, general administration Experience required for the role: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong commercial and financial acumen Strong knowledge of contracts Strong desire to maintain client relationships whilst not compromising contractual entitlement Strong communication and inter personal skills Enthusiastic and energetic approach to people and projects Forward thinking and keen to develop smarter delivery of work Commercially and financially aware Able to work under own initiative Well organised Highly motivated Good communicator Takes responsibility Ability to work under pressure Positive attitude towards problem solving Experience in utilities or civils industry desirable What you will get in return: In joining Sapphire Utility Solutions as part of the Lanes Group - the UK’s largest independent provider, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture that prioritises the well-being, growth, and safety of our employees.
