Installation/Commissioning Engineer - The Role:
1. Installing and commissioning new equipment at client sites, ensuring all machinery is fully operational and meets performance expectations
2. Troubleshooting electrical systems, including PLCs (Mitsubishi FX5), to identify and resolve issues
3. Replacing parts and upgrading systems as necessary, providing long-term reliability
4. Collaborating with clients to offer technical support and recommend improvements for enhanced system performance
5. Training client staff in equipment operation, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
6. Managing your own schedule to efficiently meet the needs of clients across the UK, with some overnight stays required
7. Completing detailed service reports to document tasks, issues, and resolutions
8. Occasional on-site servicing of machines
Installation/Commissioning Engineer - The Person:
1. Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering with a good knowledge of automation and controls
2. Experience in PLCs (Ideally Mitsubishi), including modifications and fault-finding
3. Previous experience in industries such as FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing is essential
4. Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
5. Flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally when required
6. Full clean driving licence
7. Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
8. Based in Lancashire/Greater Manchester, this role is commute from Rochdale, Bolton, Leigh, Oldham, Wigan and Haslingden
