We have an exciting opportunity for a 12 months Fixed Term Contract as a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre located in Co Durham.
Derwentside IRC, is a female centre with 84 detainees and is based about 10 minute bus journey from Consett on bus or the site does have parking.
Hours
Your working shift pattern will be Monday - Sunday - based on a hours per week.
Salary
This position is full time, fixed term contract for 12 months, youll receive an annual salary up to £39,per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Primary Care Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
2. Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
3. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications required:
11. Registered nurse Adult NMC
12. Evidence of Continued Professional Development
13. Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
14. A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
15. Excellent communication skills
