We are seeking a highly motivated Capital Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of our Capital Investment Plan. This role is integral to ensuring effective programme management, governance, and financial oversight of capital projects. Working closely with senior leadership, project managers, and external partners, you will coordinate strategic performance reporting and support capital programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate performance reporting and support delivery of the Council’s Capital Programme, ensuring projects remain on time and budget.
* Support the Capital and Growth Board with reporting, governance, and financial oversight.
* Monitor and report on grant funding, ensuring compliance with grant conditions.
* Assist in budget management, financial transparency, and stakeholder communication.
* Work collaboratively across council departments and external organisations to ensure the success of capital projects.

Skills
Essential:
* Proven project management skills and experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of stakeholders.
* Capable of assimilating, interpreting, and communicating complex information to inform decision making.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Expert working knowledge of specialist techniques and tools for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes and projects.
* Significant theoretical understanding of the application of programme and project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2, Association of Project Management (APM) and/or other project industry standards.
* Effective knowledge of budget and resource management procedures and mechanisms.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Experience of delivering large scale complex projects including performance monitoring, budgetary control and risk management.
* Experience in stakeholder management and engagement across a wide range of internal and external departments and organisations up to executive level.
* Detailed budget management, profiling, and cost control experience.
* PRINCE2, Association of Project Management (APM), or equivalent project/programme management qualification.
