Technical Support Engineer

Location: hybrid - Warrington office
Hours: 9-5:30 Monday - Friday (ad-hoc out of hours or weekend work which will be compensated). On-call every 5 weeks.

We are working with an established IT Infrastructure Consultancy who design, architect, configure, implement, and manage private and hybrid cloud solutions for businesses. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will deploy, monitor, and support the Datacentre LAN network infrastructure and firewalls. This includes Cisco, HPE, and Dell switching technology and Cisco firewalls. You will build knowledge of other key products to support systems across the team. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise as well as grow in new skills and technologies.
Technical Support Engineer - Responsibilities
* Deploy, monitor, and support Datacentre LAN Network infrastructure and firewalls.
* Build and use knowledge of Cisco, HPE, and Dell switching technologies and Cisco firewalls.
* Work alongside the team to support VMware, SAN storage, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, and Veeam backups.
* Share knowledge and document new processes and technologies.
Technical Support Engineer - Requirements
* Experience as an IT Support Engineer with good knowledge of LAN networking, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
* Beneficial if you have or are working towards a CCNA accreditation or equivalent.
* Experience of VLANs, trunking, routing, and VPNs.
* Beneficial if you have experience with VMware, Windows, Linux, and Scripting.
* Strong desire to learn new skills.
* Good written and verbal communication.
