Bromley Healthcare - Care at Home is recruiting caregivers to provide domiciliary care to service users, enabling them to live fulfilling lives while remaining in their homes by providing high-quality person-centred care.
We are currently recruiting Caregivers for Bromley & Bexley. Please note the Bexley roles are based in DA5, DA14 & DA15.
We have full-time and part-time opportunities available. If you can only work in the evenings or weekends, or would like to discuss shifts that fit around childcare, we would like to hear from you.
Please note this role does not qualify for a Sponsorship Visa.
Main duties of the job
You will encourage and support service users in their day-to-day lives, enabling them to live fulfilling lives while helping them remain in their homes by providing high-quality person-centred care. Duties include:
* Providing high-quality person-centred care in accordance with support plans
* Personal care duties such as washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, and medication monitoring
* Administering medications
* Shopping and meal preparation support
* Supporting domestic tasks including cleaning
* Helping service users access the community and socialise
* Manual handling, using equipment where required
* Promoting health and well-being, independence, and enabling users to live life to the fullest
* Being flexible to work a range of shift patterns including alternate weekends
* Maintaining appropriate records and reporting changes in service user’s circumstances

JOB SUMMARY

Mandatory Requirements
The post holder has a responsibility to safeguard children, young people, and adults at risk and will be trained to the appropriate level.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
* NVQ 2 or willing to work towards Diploma in Health and Social Care
Training:
* Willingness to participate in relevant training including the Care Certificate
Specific Skills:
* Using skills to make a difference to service users
* Excellent listening skills
* Respect for individuals
* Understanding of confidentiality
* A friendly, caring, and sensitive approach
* Full, clean Driving Licence - Desirable
Experience:
* Previous experience in a care environment
* Ability to learn new skills
* Ability to communicate effectively
Information Technology:
* Experience of using electronic recording systems - Desirable
