Job Overview:
We have permanent/full/part time opportunities for Staff Nurses within our Bed-based services for both adults and older people at Bowmere Hospital, Chester. You would be required to work on a rotational shift basis, which includes days and nights.
You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team and have an ethos of collaborative working between individual service users, carers and other stakeholders. We aim to provide high quality, safe services which improve the health, well-being and independence of the people within our locality.
Main duties of the job:
You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care. You are able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for mental health nursing, as well as a desire for ongoing professional development. You will receive excellent training and opportunities for development, clinical supervision and appraisal.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Criteria:
* RMN/RNLD
* First level nurse
Knowledge and Expertise Essential criteria:
* Excellent communicator verbally and in terms of written work.
* Well developed research based knowledge and practical nursing skills.
* An understanding of basic management principles is essential as the post will involve taking charge of the service occasionally.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* A positive approach towards use of information technology.
Experience Essential criteria:
* 1st level mental health trained nurse, with an up-to-date knowledge of current mental health legislation.
* Experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability.
