A dynamic award-winning design practice based in Glasgow’s Merchant City is recruiting a part time studio manager to join their friendly and innovative team of ten designers
The Studio Manager will be responsible for the day to day financial and operational aspects of the business. Working closely with the Directors and senior team you will be responsible for:
· Raising and issuing sales invoices, ensuring timely payments.
· Handling bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.
· Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier payments.
· Monthly management accounts & cashflow, fee forecasting
· Timely payments of all suppliers and subconsultants
· Assist Company accountants with end of year processes.
· Ensure timely payments to HMRC.
· Liaising with external payroll providers, coordinating monthly expenses, pension contributions & staff wellbeing initiatives.
· Supporting our inhouse and external IT Team providers
· Managing contracts on all office services
· Maintaining office policy and procedures – including H&S accreditation
· Managing annual insurances renewals (General, Cyber and PI)
· Assisting Directors HR tasks with support from external HR consultancy.
· Assisting with the preparation of bids
· Supporting the team with ad hoc project/office support as required
The ideal candidate will have the following experience & skills,
A sound knowledge of VAT and PAYE
Experience of XERO or equivalent accounting software
Competent use of Microsoft Office
Experience in an SME finance function
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously.
