Cloud Engineer – 12-Month FTC (£35,000 - £45,000)

We’re hiring two experienced Cloud Engineers to join a fast-paced, innovative team within a national/global financial services organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract (with potential for extension).

The Role
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You’ll be responsible for advanced support, implementing cloud solutions, and ensuring robust performance, availability, and security across services.
You’ll be a vital member of the IT operations team - solving complex issues, contributing to infrastructure design, and delivering business-critical projects.
Hybrid Working
You’ll need to be in the office 1 day a week, with a choice of locations: Mansfield, London, or Surrey.
What You’ll Do:
Provide advanced 2nd line support for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
Design and maintain secure, scalable cloud solutions
Collaborate with teams and vendors to deliver cloud projects
Conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements
Monitor systems and optimise performance
Maintain documentation for cloud architecture and processes
What You’ll Need:
3-5+ years’ experience in 2nd Line Support roles with cloud focus
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure & Microsoft 365
Knowledge of networking and cloud security best practices
Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate)
Experience with scripting/automation tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI
ITIL knowledge is a bonus
