Digital Merchandising Manager

Are you passionate about digital retail and creating seamless online shopping journeys? Claire's is looking for a Digital Merchandising Manager to lead the development and growth of our European e-commerce platforms. This role is pivotal in delivering an engaging, customer-centric online experience while driving sales and aligning with our global merchandising strategies.
As a Digital Merchandising Manager, you will work closely with Merchants, Digital Operations, and Marketing teams to create compelling product stories, optimise navigation, and execute impactful promotional strategies. You'll be at the heart of creating an Easy Shopping Experience that solves our customers' needs and propels global sales.
We can offer this role on a hybrid basis working 3 days a week from our European HQ in Erdington.
Your Key Responsibilities
Digital Merchandising Excellence
1. Craft and deliver Claire's Digital Merchandising Strategy using tools like Heap, Google Analytics (GA), consumer insights, and competitive analysis.
2. Develop product storytelling that captures fashion trends, seasonal moments, and key product launches in collaboration with Merchants and Marketing teams.
3. Optimise navigation, internal search, product recommendations, and SEO with a test-and-learn mindset.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance UX, ensuring our website is both functional and delightful to explore.
5. Localise the website to reflect regional languages, trends, holidays, and SEO keywords, tailoring experiences for every market.
6. Act as the business owner of product content, ensuring accuracy, enriched data, and a perfect portrayal of Claire's brand.
Merchandise Expansion
1. Partner with Merchants to identify future product opportunities and launch exclusive online collections.
2. Collaborate with the e-commerce inventory team to ensure proper stock levels for new initiatives.
3. Support vendor/product selections for drop-ship initiatives, expanding the product range and driving growth.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
1. Coordinate with global Digital Merchandising Managers to share best practices and deliver a unified, world-class online experience.
2. Lead and inspire your team to achieve excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, and collaboration.
What We're Looking For
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in e-commerce, with expertise in digital merchandising, product content, UX, taxonomy, or internal search.
3. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and SEO best practices.
4. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of HTML is a plus.
5. Exceptional communication skills-both written and spoken-with a keen eye for detail.
6. Ability to analyse data and apply insights to drive strategy and improve customer experience.
7. A team player who thrives in cross-functional collaboration and can navigate a diverse organization.
8. Leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to motivate and empower teams.
