Role: Principal Designer/CDM Advisor\n\nSector: Property & Construction\n\nLocation: Liverpool\n\nSalary: £55,000 + car allowance (circa £4,500) + benefits package\n\nCarriera is proud to once again partner with one of our long-standing clients who are recruiting for an ambitious and knowledgeable CDM/PD Advisor to join their Liverpool office.\n\nThe business is one of the UK’s leading property & construction consultancies which has been established for over 75 years and boasts a headcount of over 1000 construction professionals across 13 offices in the UK.\n\nThe business is going through an exciting period of growth, and they are seeking a talented individual to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects. From large industrial and commercial schemes to smaller, unique projects for prestigious clients such as motor manufacturers, schools/universities, healthcare providers, contractors, and developers.\n\nOur client would be very interested in speaking with people with experience of delivering CDM/ H&S advice in a consultancy setting or someone who has worked for a main contractor.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nEnsure project compliance with CDM 2015 amongst a range of projects in a variety of sectors.\nServe as the CDM Advisor to Clients, assisting them in fulfilling their duties and implementing effective H&S management.\nProduce F10 documentation for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).\nAttend design team meetings, review designs and design strategies, and provide advice on legislation.\nCreate and manage Design Risk Registers.\nGather Pre-Construction Information and develop summary reports for the project team.\nEngage with and support the design team, taking the lead in design risk management and workshops.\nConduct site visits and inspections, identifying risks, and reporting findings to the Client.\nCollaborate with the Principal Contractor to promote positive safety management.\nProactively review project and Client information.\nProvide written reports to the Client and the project team.\nConduct accident investigations and produce H&S policy and procedure documents.\nExperience and Skills Required:\n\nNEBOSH Construction or General Certificate.\nMembership in the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).\nMembership in the Association of Project Safety (IMaPS / CMaPS) (desirable).\nAbility to effectively manage time, prioritise workloads, and lead projects.\nExcellent knowledge of CDM Regulations and H&S legislation.\nApply:\n\nCompetitive salary in the region of £50,000 - £60,000.\nCar or travel allowance (circa £4,500).\nCompany pension scheme with employer contributions which increases with time served.\n25 days of holiday entitlement which increase with time served.\nBuy and Sell Annual Leave.\nPrivate healthcare scheme. \nLife assurance.\nProfessional membership fees covered.\nExcellent CPD, support and training.\nPositive work life balance encouraged – company events, charity, sport teams etc.\nHybrid working environment.\nIf you are interested in the role, please contact Alex Harcombe on (phone number removed) for further information.\n\nCarriera Limited values diversity and promotes equality and no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate against any protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
