Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Night Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires the ability to operate a Class 1 HGV, manage deliveries in a timely manner. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their products as promised. Basic Annual Salary: £37,440.00 (£720.00 paid weekly). Additional Per Night Premium: £43,160.00 Annual on Target Earnings). Night Shift, Full-time, 48-Hours Guaranteed Per Week, Overtime available. Responsibilities: Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage. Ensure the load is correct against the customers’ orders and documentation. Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property. Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and printed name. If any errors exist mark documentation accordingly and consult with Traffic Office. Provide excellent customer service. Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and avoid getting over involved Carry out deliveries in a timely and safe manner. Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law and SSOW. Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits. Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage. Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab. Comply with fuel directives from the traffic department. Ensure you comply with all the company SSOW. Report any accidents immediately and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure. Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and return to the traffic office. Essential Requirements: Hold UK Driving licence, valid CPC, and Digi card. HGV Class 1 driving experience. Excellent English communication skills. Eligible to work full-time permanent in the UK. Based in Southampton, Hampshire area. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and professionally as part of a team.
