Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, and fresh fruit Our client is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join their team. This full-time, permanent position involves interdepartmental collaboration to ensure clients receive accurately costed and technically valid quotations. The role also focuses on developing new and existing customer relationships to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service and Quotation Management: Provide clients with accurate, technically valid quotations and build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Regional Development: Grow key accounts and regions to enhance sales, profit margins, and targeted sales efforts.
Business Development: Conduct activities to diversify markets and expand the business base within designated regions or product lines.
Collaboration and Strategy: Work with marketing, research and development teams to identify development areas. Prepare annual sales budgets in coordination with the Proposals Manager and update the CRM system regularly.
Proposal Structuring: Ensure proposals comply with company policies and include all necessary supporting information. Submit proposals and clarifications on time.
Contract Management: Oversee commercial negotiations for new contracts and variations. Manage agents and generate agreements. Review and comment on contract terms and conditions, and assist with the vendor registration program.
Meetings and Communication: Provide updates and forecasts in sales meetings. Attend client meetings, internal handover meetings, and other customer interfaces as required, both virtually and in-person. Domestic or international travel may be necessary. The Successful Candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or engineering preferably within the petrochemical industry.
Proven track record in sales and business development.
Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to read engineering drawings.
