Job Description
The Role: We’re now recruiting for a Senior Internal IT Engineer to join our busy team based in London. The main focus of this role is to ensure the continued operational resilience of key business applications, hardware solutions and virtual environments. The role can be varied and covers a wide range of technologies so the candidate must be able to adapt to changes in responsibilities and duties as appropriate.
Part of this role will also be to identify any potential issues and improvements to systems and to provide adequate solutions to the changing requirements of the business. There will be an expectation of involvement in project work being carried out on the wider business IT infrastructure and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Help to ensure continued performance and resilience in key IT platforms around the business.
Occasionally assist the helpdesk during busy periods to help maintain SLA's
Maintain user accounts in Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange.
Build, service and troubleshoot laptops, desktops and virtual servers where needed.
Assist with infrastructure planning and projects. This will include any networking, switching or wireless projects under way.
Ensure systems are kept up-to-date and maintained in line with best practice.
Co-ordination with 3rd party vendors to support systems.
To follow and aid in the development and deployment of ISO processes and software solutions in line with business strategy and the priority set by management.
Evaluate and implement appropriate technologies where appropriate.
Assist in the support of onsite meeting room equipment (Poly, Cisco, Surface Hub), WiFi and printing
Identify improvements and/or cost saving opportunities and look at new and developing technology that could be useful to the department and the business.Occasional out of hours work may be required as and when necessary
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
A background in and experience of switching and networks, both configuration and troubleshooting. Experience with some of the following:
Windows 10/11
Active Directory administration
DNS, DHCP
Hardware/software builds
Azure administration and build experience.
Windows server experience
Printers
SharePoint
Office 365
OneDrive
Citrix
Exchange on prem
Intune/MDM
Mimecast
Veeam
Zerto
VMWare
HyperVBeneficial Skills / Experience:
ISO 27001
Microsoft or ITIL qualifications
Cisco Certifications - CCNA, CCNP
