We are excited to advertise permanent Band 6 Senior Radiographer posts in the Plain Film department at NUH.
Our radiographers play a vital part in helping NUH Radiology to be the leading provider in Imaging Services across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands through delivering excellent, caring, safe and thoughtful healthcare. To achieve this, we are looking for committed individuals to join our progressive team of Plain Film Radiographers in a Senior Radiographer role.
Main duties of the job
This is an excellent opportunity for career-driven, dynamic individuals who wish to continue their professional development and further their skills in supporting the imaging of a diverse workload in plain film.
You must be a minimum of 2 years qualified and have the energy and commitment to help manage staff and workload over a 24-hour period to match the demands of the service.
You must have the ability to work flexibly on a shift pattern covering both NUH sites and Nottingham Urgent Care Centre, where we provide x-ray service for the Walk-in Centre. There are exciting plans in development to open a new Community Diagnostic centre in the City centre in 2026 which will be managed by NUH Radiology. There may be a requirement for staff to rotate to this location as part of this role.
It is essential that you are a good communicator and team player, and that you are capable of working and thinking autonomously. It will be expected that the successful candidate will support the department in all general areas within the department, theatre and mobile examinations and OOH duties.

With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career!
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are striving to be better represented at NUH.
Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is one of the biggest and busiest acute Trusts in England. The QSI accredited radiology department employs 460 staff, seeing 400,000 patients per year across the Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital and NUH Treatment Centre.
