Salary: Band: 9 or 10 dependant on experience
( Band 9 : £37,937 - £41,510 p.a., Band 10 : £41,510 - £45,718 p.a).

What is the role
Portsmouth Adult Safeguarding Team is a fast-paced, dynamic team, committed to promoting individuals' rights and choices, and keeping people in Portsmouth safe. We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Social Worker or Nurse to join our expanding team.
The Adult Safeguarding team work to support adults who are experiencing, or are at risk of experiencing, abuse, or neglect, and as such the ideal candidate will:
* Be resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Be able to develop positive and effective relationships with other agencies.
* Be passionate about making safeguarding personal.
Over the last year, the Adult Safeguarding team has evolved significantly, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the ongoing development of the team, including organising and facilitating learning events to broaden safeguarding knowledge across the city.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will need to hold a professional qualification with relevant registration and have a relevant legal, theoretical and practice knowledge base, and willingness to develop knowledge and skill in relation to adult safeguarding, The Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Making Safeguarding Personal.
With robust and comprehensive skills in risk management, the ability to negotiate, work creatively and flexible with an aptitude for innovative decision making, you will be passionate about putting the customer at the heart of what you do. You will be effective at managing and organising your own workload whilst working in a busy office environment whilst responding to competing demands and changing priorities.
