Professional Leadership & Governance of Psychological Services across the Care Group Provide high level clinical expertise for clinicians delivering psychological services across the Care Group Lead on service development specifically related to psychological services and practice, including the implementation of national and local strategies and policies. Support effective workforce planning for psychological services and practice, including succession planning and training and development planning to ensure the workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge to meet changing service needs and Care Group business plans. Work with the Care Group Leadership team and operational managers to identify new business opportunities and support the development of new service models for the delivery of new business relevant to psychological practice. Advise operational managers regarding the utilisation of existing resources and planning of future resources, in terms of workforce and specialist tools/equipment in relation to the delivery of psychological practice. Provide a high level of clinical expertise across the field of psychological services, by providing both general and specialist advice for clinicians within the Care Group providing psychological interventions, on the full range of relevant issues including psychological aspects of risk assessment and management. Ensure that psychological services and practice is safe and effective and delivered in accordance with evidenced based standards, recognised good practice e.g. NICE guidance and professional standards for psychological therapies. Establish structures within the team to ensure the effective clinical supervision of staff delivering psychological interventions or approaches across the Care Group, with the support of Operational Managers.
