The British School of Lisbon (BSL) is seeking a passionate, dedicated, highly motivated and qualified Physical Education Teacher to join our team in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious and forward-thinking school with a truly international community.
BSL is a vibrant, world-class institution that prides itself on offering a holistic education. We are committed to nurturing students who excel academically, thrive personally, and develop the social skills needed to succeed in the world beyond school. We believe in empowering every student to embrace their individuality while cultivating a love of learning and a strong foundation in values that last a lifetime.
Our ethos combines the best of a traditional British education with a modern, forward-looking approach. While we maintain high standards of discipline and formal practices, we also embrace innovative teaching methods and cutting-edge technology to create a dynamic, engaging learning environment.
As part of the Physical Education Department, this role requires teaching across the two campuses.
Our original campus, BSL Cais do Sodré (which serves Nursery through Year 5) is located in the heart of Lisbon. The BSL Cais do Sodré Campus is bordered by iconic neighbourhoods, and is a crossroads of ideas, cultures and limitless experiences and opportunities.
In September 2024, we opened our second campus, BSL Restelo, further solidifying our position as the premier international school in Lisbon. The new campus, which serves students from Year 6 onwards, is a key part of our expansion, with plans to grow through to Year 13. The Restelo campus will welcome its first Year 10 cohort in September 2025. Located about 15 minutes from the Cais do Sodré Campus, Restelo is a calm and culturally rich district.
BSL is part of The Schools Trust, a UK-based governance body that has founded 15 prestigious British Schools worldwide. Its focus is on upholding the highest standards across all areas of school life, ensuring our students receive an outstanding education that prepares them for future success.
