The Regaining Independence Service (RIS) is a therapy led service working with people to help them keep or re-learn skills to manage living independently at home or to get out and about in their local community. Using a strengths-based approach, RIS work over a short and focused period with people who may have had a period of ill health or difficulties caring for themselves to maintain or regain the skills needed to enjoy their every day life. RIS work in partnership with our reablement provider ECL to deliver the Community Reablement Service, and work closely with colleagues in the NHS and other parts of the council.
To help us create a reablement workforce that reflects the communities we serve, and to ensure we have diverse perspectives and insights, we would particularly welcome applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds and those with a disability.

Salary: £25,584 to £25,992 per annum

We are looking for a self-motivated, collaborative Administrator (known internally as Embedded Co-ordinator) to join our welcoming and supportive Regaining Independence Services.
To succeed in this role you need to be confident in using IT packages especially Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. You'll have the chance to really exercise your passion for high quality administration through tasks such as diary management, correspondence via email and letters.
RIS need someone who can balance priorities and is able to you their initiative to deal with unexpected problems and situations. To support successful hybrid working arrangements confidence and experience in using Skype and Microsoft Teams is helpful.
The work environment is friendly and supportive and the post holder will be a
valued and integral part of the team. You will provide essential administration support to colleagues as they deliver services to vulnerable customers, making a positive difference in people's lives.
In the role you will be exposed to confidential and highly sensitive information and will be expected travel independently around the county to attend meetings. Experience in minute taking is highly desirable as you will need to concentrate over long periods of time to take accurate and comprehensive notes during meetings on complex and sensitive subjects.

Experience and Skills
Key Skills (please cover with examples within your application as these are the short-listing criteria): 1. Able to organise and manage self in order to meet deadlines, be self-aware and able to respond constructively to situations, balancing competing demands and recognising when to seek help appropriately. To take responsibility for own performance and to be proactive in relation to own work and professional development.
2. Ability to work in partnership with colleagues and a variety of internal and external partners in order to deliver the most effective service.
3. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral format, including the ability to negotiate and influence others in order to secure desired outcomes.
4. Ability to provide guidance and advice to all enquiries in a timely manner. Taking ownership of enquiries and providing proactive feedback on progress and outcomes ensuring contacts are escalated if appropriate.
5. Highly accurate IT and keyboard skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be adept and proactive at picking up new technologies quickly.
6. Effective and proactive diary management, (re)prioritisation and booking of meetings, events etc, liaison with colleagues, partners, and customers to manage expectations effectively and provide a positive interaction with/for the Assistant Director(s) and Directorate.
Qualifications
* GSCE English and Maths, or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating that level of literacy and numeracy.
* A recognised qualification in office skills or administration, or a business-related subject at level 2 or 3 of the national qualifications framework or have acquired equivalent experience within the workplace.
