The Role
MacTaggart Scott (MTS) provides mission critical systems to Naval Defence and Commercial Marine markets. Due to strong growth the Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) function continues to expand ensuring it remains effective and efficient. Increasingly recognised as a source of business value and an area of strategic importance the Procurement and Supply Chain function conducts bid activities as well as providing through life supplier management, the sourcing and acquisition of direct and indirect products and services, providing market intelligence and providing technical support.
To fulfill business needs the Procurement Price Analyst will be responsible for:
* Ensuring that goods and services are sourced and priced successfully to schedule, budget and quality in accordance with Procurement strategy.
* Lead the Procurement activity on major bids as well as spares and repairs contracts. This will involve managing enquiries, issuing formal RFQ’s etc.
* Ensure potential new suppliers are engaged and assessed in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Developing effective relations with internal and external stakeholders, supporting business reviews and project gates as required.
* Conducting analysis of allocated categories and suppliers by developing outputs such as reports, presentations etc to support business needs ie supplier meetings, price reviews, strategy development.
* Compliance with company policy and requirements as well as customer flow-down requirements.
* Supporting internal and external audits.
* Ensuring IFS data accuracy relevant to assigned products, services and categories.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate their ability to; network effectively with internal functions and external suppliers, apply time management, manage complexity, deliver and maintain high quality outputs within often challenging timescales and ensure attention to detail.
Requirements
* Previous bid / estimating process experience.
* Supply chain principles and techniques.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Effective communication skills (written, oral and presentation).
* Previous experience in use of ERP systems.
* Competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
* Be able to work positively and collaboratively with the wider stakeholder community, both internal and external.
