Chief Clinical Information Officer (Nursing/AHP) - Band 8c (0.8 WTE CCIO, 0.2 WTE clinical)
Are you a clinical leader passionate about digital transformation across mental health services, in particular across Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust? Do you want to use technology to drive innovation and enhance patient safety, outcomes, and staff experience?
Main duties of the job
We are looking to increase the breadth of clinical leadership in digital services by recruiting an additional Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) to work with our existing Chief Clinical Information Officer. These two roles, in partnership with the Chief Information Officer will drive clinical integration, adoption and optimisation of digital solutions that enable clinical practice and operational delivery, actively promoting digital leadership across all professional groups.

* Experience in digital transformation and leadership in mental health services.
* Strong ability to engage, influence, and negotiate.
* Understanding of clinical governance, risk, and safety.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to Masters level (level 7) in clinical informatics, leadership, or equivalent experiential learning.
* Evidence of training in programme or project management principles and techniques and/or Change management techniques.
* The Trusts QIS (Quality Improvement System) for Leaders Certificate or equivalent (or willing to achieve within agreed timescale).
* Registration with relevant professional body (NMC, HCPC, Social Work-England).
* Registered Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) (or willing to achieve within agreed timescale).
Desirable
* PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
* Digital leadership or clinical safety qualifications.
* Quality improvement qualification, or evidence of training in quality improvement principles and techniques.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Essential
* Leadership in clinical informatics and digital transformation.
* Experience in leading clinical adoption in large scale digital projects in healthcare settings.
* Strong understanding of EPR systems and their clinical integration.
* Contributing to and monitoring complex programme or project plans.
* Engaging successfully with a range of stakeholders, including within own organisation, outside own organisation and including both service users/customers and staff.
* Using influencing and negotiation techniques.
* Producing written reports and relating to complex information and data.
* Presenting complex issues to senior management/clinicians in order to trigger a decision.
* Managing project or programme boards.
* Medical/Nursing/Therapies Leadership experience.
* Extensive experience in relevant senior leadership role.
* Ability to work strategically and autonomously providing vision and leadership.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent IT (MS Office) Skills and able to manipulate complex data using IT.
* Excellent knowledge of the use of Electronic Patient Records in Mental Health.
* Proven, relevant and recent track record in leadership of clinical informatics.
* Significant experience in delivering continuous improvement ensuring consistent high standards of clinical quality and safety.
* Experience of developing and progressing business and workforce plans in line with future service requirements.
* Experience/evidence of clinical leadership in the field of information technology.
* Ability to gain credibility with and influence fellow clinicians, managers and speciality leads including influencing clinical changes.

* Experience in clinical safety case development and risk mitigation.
* Experience in facilitating workshops and leading change initiatives.
* Experience of requirements gathering and process mapping.
* Experience of product development lifecycles, defining requirements, testing and implementing.
