I am representing an established insurance company who are looking for a junior IT Support Engineer who will benefit from mentorship and collaboration with experienced infrastructure and systems engineers/managers, as well as their knowledgeable development and underwriting teams.

Tasks and Objectives:
4. Procurement of new IT hardware and software
5. Maintenance of software licensing
6. Successful rollout of new hardware and systems
7. IT hardware and software asset management
8. Documentation upkeep
9. Pre-defined system checks
10. Active Directory user management
11. Helpdesk support
12. Security maintenance
13. User network support
14. Basic insurance knowledge development
15. Effective internal and external communication
You will gain exposure to:
16. Microsoft Windows 7,8,10 and 11, Any Microsoft Server Operating Systems
17. Cloud based Services: (Office 365, Azure)
18. Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
19. Network Technologies (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/Firewalls)
Reporting Lines: Reports to Head of Infrastructure and IT, supervised by Lead Support Engineer
Personal Profile:
Qualifications:
20. Essential: GCSEs or higher in maths and English or equivalent
21. Desirable: Computing-based degree, third-party IT qualifications
Skills/Abilities:
22. Logical problem troubleshooting skills
23. Experience with Microsoft Windows, cloud-based services, virtualization technologies, and network technologies
