Vision For Education are excited to provide an incredible opportunity to support passionate people with getting into the education sector. We work alongside our client Primary Schools to provide successful Teaching Assistants with high quality training and paid on the job experience!
We are currently looking for candidates to undergo our comprehensive National Teaching Assistant programme where you will learn all the essential skills you need to work as a teaching assistant!
Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills.
The rewarding and diverse role of a Teaching Assistant can vary from day-to-day and from school-to-school. Depending on the role and the school you may work with children with a range of Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD, SLCN and PD. Knowledge of one of more of this area would be desirable.
You will assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on student progress and behaviour and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
A typical day as a Teaching Assistant could be:
1. Starts with you helping the class teacher set up for the day
2. Welcoming students when they start to arrive
3. Getting students ready to learn (the morning can be very exciting for young children)
4. Assisting throughout class time
5. Assisting in the lunch hall
6. Doing breaktime supervising
7. Conducting 1:1 or small group activities as directed by the class teacher
8. Tidying up the classroom at the end of the school day
About the school
Working with Vision for Education might see you visiting a range of different schools in different demographics, teaching different classes and year groups, and be willing to travel within a 15-mile radius of your home.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Unqualified Teaching Assistant (SEND) you will:
9. Be kind, compassionate and caring.

11. Have a warm and friendly nature and be able to promote a safe and positive learning environment.
12. Mentor and engage with the students, successfully delivering specifically designed educational packages.
13. Be committed to completing to the required training participating in ongoing CPD
14. Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary
£70 to £85 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
