Job Title: Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Location: Gorton Salary: 42k Contract Type: Full time Requirements · Must have the right to live and work in the UK · Must have experience working in Children’s residential · Must hold a Uk driving license About the role Staff Leadership: Oversee and delegate staff responsibilities, manage labor costs, rotas, and ensure staff receive supervision, appraisals, and inductions. Collaborative Work: Build strong partnerships with agencies and clinical teams to implement effective support plans for children. Legislative Compliance: Stay updated on legislation, revise policies, and ensure adherence to safeguarding and Ofsted standards. Health & Safety: Implement monitoring systems, ensure staff training, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Budget Oversight: Manage the home’s overall budget and individual children’s budgets. Facilities Management: Maintain high standards for the home’s physical environment, including security and decorative upkeep. Operational Development: Contribute to service improvements and maintain effective communication pathways within the organization. Ofsted Compliance: Ensure the home is always Ofsted-ready, aiming for at least a "Good" rating. Child-Focused Services: Promote therapeutic, educational, and recreational opportunities for children, ensuring individual needs are met. Record Management: Maintain professional, confidential, and compliant records for all casework and assessments. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure alignment with internal and external standards. Advocacy and Inclusion: Support children’s rights, celebrate diversity, and foster an open, participatory culture. They manage a staff team, deliver high-quality residential services, and maintain compliance with legislative and regulatory standards, including The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015. Contracted for 40 hours per week, they are also on-call for issues outside their presence. The role involves leading the team to achieve positive outcomes, ensuring services reflect children’s rights, and adhering to key frameworks such as the Children Act 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
