We are seeking two Deputy Team Managers to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), where you will play a key role in leading and supporting our dedicated team. You will work alongside the Team Manager to provide leadership, supervision, and support to a team of Social Workers and Senior Practitioners. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of social work practice, ensuring that training and development opportunities are maximized, and supporting staff. Please note this role does not attract sponsorship. About you You will prioritise the most vulnerable and at-risk children, providing professional oversight and ensuring that cases are assessed and actioned appropriately. Working within Luton's Practice Framework, you will make informed recommendations, escalate cases where necessary, and collaborate with relevant services in line with local thresholds. You will be confident in supporting external partner agencies to understand the role of social care and offer guidance where needed. You will have substantial post-qualifying experience in child and family social work, with a deep understanding of safeguarding and risk management. Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring staff is essential, alongside the ability to support the Team Manager in leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team. You should be confident in making sound professional judgments, particularly in high-risk situations involving children and families. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Dip SW, CQSW) and registration with Social Work England are required.
