New roles have been created within the Revenues & Benefits Service in order to improve and enhance our ability to manage our core database, Capita, and other systems used within the Service. We are therefore looking for someone with extensive knowledge of the Capita system to become our Systems and Development Support Officer. You will report to the Systems and Development Manager and work alongside colleagues in the Support team and across the service to ensure efficient use of Capita and other key systems used in Revenues and Benefits. We are looking to maximise the efficient and effective use of our systems and regular batch work in our core database, Capita, is a key requirement for the Service and for the post holder. Effective and efficient batch work is an essential requirement and the successful applicant must have a successful track record with this work. We use a number of systems in Revenues & Benefits and the post holder will work with the Systems and Development Manager to review and improve our use of all systems, take ownership of administering and maintaining some of the systems and assist with development of existing and any new systems. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of our core database, Capita, particularly batch and associated work and be able to illustrate an ability to work unsupervised, independently and able to manage changing priorities and workloads. We are working towards more efficient and effective use of all of our systems and you will be in a post with an emphasis on achieving improvements and efficiencies and once embedded, ensuring they are maintained. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, able to work unsupervised and committed to evening and weekend work when required, particularly at key times of the year.
