Who do you report to?
You’ll be reporting to our Executive Director, Joe.
Who reports directly to you?
As a Senior you’ll lead the Paraplanning Team, made up of 5 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend Management Meetings, relaying key information/proposals to the Managers and, where necessary, Directors.
2. Providing support and training to educate and guide other staff members.
3. Lead weekly team meetings to deliver all relevant communications, confirm allocation of work, deal with any team queries or issues, etc.
4. Support, motivate and guide the team to ensure all work and allocations are completed within agreed timescales to achieve new business targets.
5. Authorise and manage cover for the team’s annual/sick leave.
6. Hold individual monthly one to one’s with the team members.
7. Write training guides and processes for any work taken on by the team.
8. Ensure all internal records are kept up to date with current centralised investment proposition detail, current year allowances and current fund info.
9. To be an active member of company focus groups, providing technical expertise as required.
Paraplanner Responsibilities:
1. Writing financial planning and suitability reports and letters using the appropriate research tools, ensuring the best client outcomes.
2. Ensuring that the client file including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and product information is fully and comprehensively complete.
3. Ensuring that client files, suitability reports and letters are fully compliant and technically accurate, liaising regularly with internal and external compliance support.
4. Obtaining illustrations, information and valuations from product providers as required.
5. Completing and checking tax calculations where necessary.
6. Ensuring business is submitted to providers, promptly, accurately and within the agreed timescales.
7. Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards.
8. Maintain your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
9. Deliver an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors.
10. Work in line with IFP’s CPD scheme and T&C scheme.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Achieved CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
2. Achieved/working towards CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner (within a 36 month period).
3. Previous managerial experience preferred.
4. Previous paraplanning experience essential.
5. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and, desirably, Intelligent Office.
6. Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
7. Demonstrable skills in the ability to both lead and motivate staff.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts.
10. Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.
