Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Computer Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential to teach KS5.
* Foster a positive learning environment that motivates and inspires students to reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
* Support the development of the Computer Science curriculum, ensuring it is up to date with current technology trends.
* Participate in the broader life of the school, including attending departmental meetings and contributing to extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
* A degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience of teaching Computer Science at secondary school level, with a track record of delivering high-quality lessons.
* Strong subject knowledge and passion for Computer Science and technology.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
* Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching Computer Science at KS5 (A-Level).
* Familiarity with emerging technologies and programming languages.
* Experience with developing resources that incorporate online learning and digital tools.
