Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Purchase Ledger Assistant for a growing services business based close to Leeds City Centre, the company are going from strength to strength and are now looking to add an important remember of the AP team.
Purchase ledger experience isn't necessary, but office administration is a must!
Reporting into the Financial Manager, key duties of the Purchase Ledger Assistant will include:
1. Managing the NMBS Process, including invoicing, resolving queries and collating the monthly payment run.
2. Supplier statement reconciliations.
3. Collating the payment runs for all suppliers (NMBS & material purchase suppliers).
4. Managing the Returns process and liaising with the relevant branches and suppliers for Credit Notes and resolutions of faulty, missing or damaged products on delivery.
5. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
6. Provide support for audits by gathering necessary documentation and information.
7. Respond to queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
8. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
11. Provide cover for the Accounts department on an ad hoc basis to account for staff absences/holidays.
12. Any other duties as reasonably required.
To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:
Previous experience of working within a office Administration or Accounts Payable
Strong excel skills
Confident communicator

In return, the successful candidate will receive the following:
£23,750 - £24,750 base salary
25 days holidays
