Main duties of the job
* Work unsupervised to advise and recommend treatment for patients using clinical judgment, and decision making skills in accordance with agreed local, regional and national policies and guidelines.
* In partnership with other clinical teams, collaborate on improving the quality of health-care responding to local and national policies and initiative as appropriate.
* Support and participate in shared learning across the Division and TRFT.
* Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery.
* Recognise and work within own competency and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC/HCPC.
* Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient consultation.
* Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking and formal audit and evaluation in the quality governance systems and processes of the division.
* Work autonomously and to be effective and responsible for supporting others and exploring mechanisms to develop new ways of working.
* Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time management strategies are embedded within the culture of the team.
* Work effectively with others to clearly define values, direction and policies.

What you can add:
* Act as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills.
* To be a pivotal member of the Team. Seeing patients in all areas of the UECC.
* Organise the clinical management of individual patients, using highly developed expert clinical knowledge and advanced skills to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and initiate changes in management where required.
* Conduct advanced health assessments and clinical examination of patients with highly complex presentations and make clinical decisions based on these assessments.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner, management and prioritising own workload on a daily basis, prioritising patients based on clinical need.

What you'll need:
Qualification:
* NMC Registered Nurse / HCPC Registered Allied Health Care Professional who meet the legal prescribing standard to be able to train as a non-medical prescriber.
* Possess a level 7 Masters degree in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent clinical masters degree which includes modules in advanced clinical assessment & pathophysiology).
* Advanced Life Support (provider).
* Evidence of CPD relevant to unscheduled / emergency care.
* Teaching Qualification.
* Instructor status for RCUK courses.
Experience:
* At least 5 years post-registration experience of working in unscheduled / emergency care.
* Experience of working in an emergency care environment within the last 2 years.
* Experience of working with patients of all ages.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
