Shirt in a Box is an online retailer of mystery sports jerseys, based in Belfast, UK. We source jerseys from various manufacturers and clubs worldwide, then sell them to customers in the UK, Ireland, and the USA through mystery boxes on its online store.
Founded in 2021, Shirt in a Box has grown to a team of four full-time staff and recorded revenues of £6 million to date. Following a record-breaking 2022, thanks to the World Cup, the past 12 months have been a period of alignment for the brand. We’ve expanded our product range into different sports and internalised all departments. This means we no longer outsource any part of the business, building a team that handles all customer service, fulfilment, and marketing internally.
The team is close-knit, with a “can-do” attitude. Maximum effort and hard work are the baseline – like any great sporting team. Think the USA Dream Team or Pep’s Barcelona.
This is a role for someone who relishes a challenge, not one who shies away from it. Moreover, setting aside ego and being able to support various parts of the business when needed is essential. We are keen to diversify perspectives, so football knowledge is not a requirement for this role.
About The Role:
With plans to further our upward trajectory, we are focused on hiring a Content Creator. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for creating new ads for paid online marketing campaigns, primarily on META. You’ll be responsible for generating ideas, scripting them, batch shooting ads, and collaborating with our talented multimedia editor to produce the final versions. Products range from football and basketball jerseys to custom artwork. The ideal candidate will be someone who can analyse existing campaigns, research competitors’ ads, and use this information to create high-converting videos at scale.
Role Responsibilities:
* Research: Analyse ads from across e-commerce, not limited to competitors, ensuring you stay updated with evolving trends.
* Conceptualise: Test various ideas, including gifting angles, UGC shoots, street interviews, and more.
* Scriptwriting: Create detailed, unique scripts with hooks, bodies, and calls to action that resonate with our customers.
* Video Shoot: Organise and lead bi-weekly video shoots, ensuring precise shots and sufficient content for successful editing.
* Communication: Collaborate with our lead creative strategist to come up with ideas.
* Iterate: Analyse successful ads and use this information to improve conceptualisation, scriptwriting, and video production.
* Quality: While volume is essential, quality must not be compromised. Attention to detail is crucial, and each asset should have A+ potential.
About You:
* Proven work experience as a content creator or similar role.
* Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
* An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces.
* Excellent research, organisational, and time management skills.
* Strong listening and communication skills.
* The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
* A positive attitude, full of ideas and able to work well under pressure.
* Happy to be hands-on.
What Success Looks Like:
In 6 months:
A fully functioning pipeline of at least 100 creative assets, leading to profitable ad spend growth within META.
In 12 months:
Thanks to previous successes, we’ve onboarded more content creators / creative strategists and are now producing 300-500 concepts a month.
