About The Role
Are you ready to join a Company that really believes that people are the very heart of the business and values your contribution? Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, we’re looking for a Credit Controller who will thrive in a busy operational environment to join our Credit Control team at Birchwood Park, Warrington.
In this fast-paced role as a Credit Controller, you’ll manage a large dynamic ledger of small to medium-sized businesses across all Ashtead businesses. You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload and dealing with a high variety and volume of customers, maximizing collections to agreed payment terms and working to agreed aging and cash targets. Your duties will also involve liaising with colleagues in our Branch/Depot network, as you’ll identify and escalate queries while maintaining ownership through to resolution. Additionally, you’ll manage credit limits, including reviewing and approvals up to £20k.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a high-pressure role to deliver and meet targets, ideally with industry experience, who would like to see and feel the impact of their work in a hands-on, highly operational, service-focused business.
What can we offer you in return? You’ll be joining a highly successful FTSE100 company, the UK’s largest equipment rental provider. We provide an industry-leading flexible rewards package including generous holiday allowance (with the opportunity to buy and sell annual leave), life assurance, retail discount scheme, employee recognition awards, and a great Company pension scheme.
About You
If you join the team, we’ll provide you with everything you need and ensure you are equipped for success. We’ll talk to you about your training and personal development needs and what you’d like to do to further your career and support your future aspirations. Your career path could include working towards CICM qualification and becoming a Senior Credit Controller.
To succeed as a Credit Controller, you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
* Previous experience in a similar role in a high-volume commercial credit department.
* Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-working approach.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Able to work on own initiative.
* IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Proven track record in a target-driven environment.
