Whats in it for you? £31,000 DOE Pension Great holiday entitlement Healthcare plan Exceptional team and support The role: Provide input to the wider IMU in the provision of an Information Management framework including the public right to information access (reactive release and proactive dissemination) as laid down in the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) 2004. Also, the public right to the protection of personal information under the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA18) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. Daily processing of Information Access requests by logging and tracking and in line with strict legislative deadlines. (FOI, EIR and DPA18). Daily drafting of responses to DPA18, FOI and EIR requests. Investigate data breaches, identify trends, make recommendations for improvement, and develop training to address identified issues, as required. Liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders and customers, both internally and externally, including the Information Regulator (the ICO), CCNI, contractors and suppliers, external legal, Elected Representatives, Solicitors, Regulators, Campaign Groups, Law Enforcement bodies, NICS Departments (especially their IMU equivalents), the Media, NI Waters Senior Management Team, the Department for Infrastructures Private Office, OpenDataNI staff, the Public Record Office of NI (PRONI), etc. Investigate complaints in relation to Data Protection, FOI and EIR, including those relating to unlawful disclosures of sensitive or personal information, as required. Where there are divergent interests among internal stakeholders, use of persuasive techniques in communicating to the Company What were looking for: A minimum of two years proven experience of working in an Information and Records Management role, to include end-to-end administration/logging of information access requests (FOI, EIR and/or DP) within a large organisation. Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Data Protection, Freedom of Information and the Environmental Information Regulations.
