Technical Trainer & Author vacancy in Belper (020DM)
Our client is predominantly engaged in supporting Government customers and allied industries by researching and developing disruptive security technologies that have truly game changing attributes.
Due to success and growth, there is an exciting opportunity to be the primary Training Content Creator for our client's devices and applications. As well as creating the content, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the content to customers in pre-arranged training sessions either on-site or at the customer site.
As well as creating, maintaining and delivering training, you’ll assist in the review and management of various user guides and product documentation. There is a customer facing element to this role in demonstrating equipment and assisting with high level solution design and configuration. Therefore, there will be occasional travel around the UK and abroad.
Note: Candidates must have a min of SC clearance to apply for this position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Creation and maintenance of training material for various products and toolsets.
2. Creation and maintenance of user guides and technical documentation associated with said products and toolsets, with assistance from subject matter experts within the business.
3. Assisting with product demonstrations with customers and at conferences and other key events.
4. Assisting the Business Development team with initial pre-sales support.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Personal Competencies:
1. Excellent communication and “people” skills.
2. Great attention to detail.
3. A methodical and organised approach.
4. Keen interest in technology.
Required Technical Skills / Qualifications:
1. Fundamentals in computer networking (e.g. CCNA / CCNP / CompTIA Network+ or equivalent experience required).
2. C&G Level 4 Education and Training Qualification (or equivalent).
3. Experience creating and delivering training material.
Desired Skills (Advantageous, but not required):
1. Networking certification.
2. Computing-related degree or equivalent STEM degree with networking modules.
Experience:
1. Prior experience as a trainer, and 3+ years prior networking engineer experience.
Conditions:
1. Due to the nature of security clearance, you need to be a sole British Citizen to be considered as well as obtaining and retaining an unconditional DV security clearance.
