About therole
* Under thereasonable direction of the Senior Management Team, carry out theprofessional duties of a school teacher as set out in the currentSchool policies
* Uphold the professional code ofthe conduct
* Teach in accordance with theethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committedmember of the teaching team and as detailed in the specific dutiesand core standardsbelow
Knowledge andUnderstanding of:
* SEMH(desirable but not essential);
* Theschool’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies andaction plans;
* Any statutory curriculumrequirements and the requirements for assessment, recording andreporting of pupil’s attainment andprogress;
* The characteristics ofhigh-quality teaching and the main strategies for improving andsustaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement forall pupils;
* Management, including employmentlaw, equal opportunities legislation, personnel, externalrelations, finance and change;
* The implicationsof the SEND Code of Practice for teaching andlearning.
