My Client based near Falmouth is seeking a dedicated and motivated Part-Time Technical Administrator. This role requires 15 hours per week, with flexibility across 3 days and pays £13.64 per hour.
Working with us for 12 weeks as an agency worker, you will then transfer onto their books and be offered a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
1. Responding to customer requests in an accurate and professional manner, from answering individual customer queries to completing technical information for larger food manufacturing and retail clients.
2. Specification management – manage internal and customer-facing product specifications, including generating new specifications and updating existing specifications as required.
3. Documentation Management: Maintain, update, and organise all technical documentation related to food manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Handling customer complaints – including monitoring of complaints to identify issues and trends.
5. Record Keeping: Manage and keep accurate records of quality control reports, production data, and any other relevant documentation.
6. Assistance in Audits: Support in preparation for and during internal and external audits, ensuring all required documents are readily available and compliant.
7. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with various departments, including production and management, to ensure smooth information flow and timely documentation updates.
8. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement related to documentation, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
1. Excellent organisational and documentation management skills.
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling technical information.
3. Strong time-management skills to handle multiple requests efficiently and accurately.
4. Proficient in Microsoft systems (including Excel) and ideally some experience with online retailer specification systems.
5. Proven experience in administrative roles within the food manufacturing industry is preferred.
6. Understanding of food safety standards and regulations; knowledge of BRCGS would be beneficial but not essential.
