Position: Full-Time Support Role
Location: Burnley, Alternative Provision
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.75 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Education Degree Graduate to join a dynamic team in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Burnley. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in an Alternative Provision, supporting children who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Your role will be key in helping to remove barriers to learning, allowing students to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
As part of the team, you will work closely with students who need tailored support, helping them to overcome academic and emotional difficulties. You'll be instrumental in making a positive impact on their learning journeys and providing essential guidance for their personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs
* Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans
* Create a positive and engaging learning environment
* Support students in overcoming social, emotional, and academic challenges
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators and support staff
Ideal Candidate:
* A recent graduate with an Education Degree or relevant qualification
* Passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team
