Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Radiology Assistant. This is a non-clinical role focused on administrative and clerical responsibilities, primarily based at Watford General Hospital.
The post holder will support the Radiology Management Team by undertaking a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks.
Core hours will be 18.75 hours per week, covering between 08:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility depending on the preferences of the successful candidate and the management team.
Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative and clerical support, with some secretarial duties to the Radiology Management team, including the RSM, Deputy RSM, Site Lead Radiographers and Lead Sonographers.
The post holder will work unsupervised, prioritising work on a daily basis.
The post holder will be expected to undertake a role of flexibility, managing diaries and coordinating meetings.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications: Essential
* GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Business and Administration Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience.
* Competence in the use of software packages, including Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.
Desirable
* Formal secretarial qualifications.
Knowledge: Essential
* Knowledge of various computer systems e.g. Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
Desirable
* Knowledge of radiology information systems and processes.
* Awareness of absence policy and sickness monitoring.
Experience: Essential
* Strong experience of using Outlook E-mail and MS Teams.
* Basic knowledge of all secretarial procedures.
* Understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
* Diary Management.
* Meetings organisation and minute/note taking.
Desirable
* Experience in a senior secretarial position.
