Providing leadership to, and overseeing the operational work of the Older Adult Professional Leads and their staff in the delivery of efficient, psychology and psychological therapy services. Provide Leadership for the Older Adult Pathways and DMS and the psychologists and psychological therapists in the specialist teams Take a strategic clinical lead role in the development and delivery of psychology and psychological therapies in the Older Adults. Working alongside the Head of Profession, the Service Managers and the Clinical Team Leaders, and Consultant Psychiatrists/Medical Lead for service to undertake service development, redesign projects and coordinate the activities of these projects with the Older Adult Professional Leads, proposing and implementing policy changes within this domain. Provide clinical leadership, management, co-ordination and supervision for psychology and psychological therapies staff, trainees and volunteers employed by or attached to the Older Adults teams. Be a key part of the senior leadership team - in particular working closely with the Service Managers/Clinical Team Leaders in the future planning and provision of psychological therapies within these teams. Contributing to the management and supervisory arrangements of the Psychology and Psychological Therapies staff, within the Older Adult Directorate. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within professional and Trust guidelines interpreting and implementing policies as Practice and Strategic Development Lead. The post holder will receive regular management, professional and clinical supervision in accordance to Trust policy and to Professional Practice Guidelines set out by the British Psychological Society or appropriate designated Professional Body Observe, and abide by all relevant Professional Codes of Conduct and Practice including the British Psychological Society, or relevant designated Professional Body. The post holder will be fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council as a condition of employment. The post holder will work collaboratively to ensure a whole systems integrated approach to service delivery and development. All Psychology and Psychological Therapies services and staff will be responsible for ensuring involvement of people with lived experience, and families and carers that social inclusion and race equality agendas inform and support their work.
