Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a well-known client whose continued growth means we partner once again supporting their search for a Warehouse Contract Manager, operating one of their key sites in Northampton.

Description
The Warehouse Contract Manager role will require the individual to:
1. Report to the General Manager.
2. Manage Direct reports of 2 x Operations Managers, along with an indirect headcount of circa 50+ heads consisting of Operations Support Managers, Shift Managers, Team Managers, Stock & Inventory Managers, Team Leaders, and Operatives.
3. Be responsible for the site in its entirety, including customer management, employee engagement, P&L / Costs, and Continuous Improvement strategies.
4. Overall responsibility for process design and daily delivery for inbound, pick, and outbound operations through the team.
5. Be responsible for direct relationships with each customer both operationally and financially.
6. Be responsible for effective inventory controls, ensuring the customer portfolios are maintained within key SLA guidelines.
7. Develop strategies to ensure onboarding of new customers.
8. Accountable for medium-term succession planning across your site.
9. Act as GM when needed.
10. Be commutable to Northampton.
This role would suit a candidate that has worked in a; Operations Manager, Contract Manager, Site Manager position previously.
Profile
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Contract Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
1. A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential
2. Be Degree educated (or similar) - Advantageous
3. Managed Multiple customers previously - Advantageous
4. A minimum of 5+ years Logistics experience at an equivalent level previously - Essential
5. Have worked for a 3PL previously - Essential
6. Have managed in excess of 80+ employees previously - Essential
7. IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications - Advantageous
8. Have good written and verbal communication skills ranging from Executive levels to shop floor Operatives.
9. Be results-driven and commercially minded.
10. Be commutable to Northamptonshire.
Job Offer
This role offers:
1. Salary - 45,000 - 50,000
2. Monday - Friday - Daytime hours
