Transport Administrator - Planner
We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Planner / Administrator to join our team. Previous experience in Transport Planning/Administration or Logistics is preferable but not mandatory as you will be joining a well-established team who have the necessary skills and experience to fully train you to deliver a first-class transport and logistics service to our customers.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning of transportation routes and logistics. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.
Transport Planner / Administrator Duties
* Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements.
* Analyse data to determine optimal transport routes and schedules.
* Coordinate with drivers, clients, and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities using computerised systems.
* Provide clerical support including data entry and administrative tasks as required.
* Manage communications effectively through phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
* Prepare data reports for clients.
Requirements
* Degree and Higher Education candidates are encouraged to apply.
* Good computer skills and keen to learn our Transport Management System (Mandata Software).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on phone etiquette.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Transport Planner / Administrator Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transport planning activities.
* Assist in driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Pay: From GBP30,000.00 per year
