What you’ll be doing:
The Pipe Fabrication / Fitter role encompasses the positioning, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This can include working in environments with systems that may carry water, steam, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, gas, hydrocarbons, or fuel which may be used in cooling, heating, lubricating, and other processes.
You will work with various pipe materials such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. These materials can vary from 6mm to 1000mm in diameter and from 5mm up to 75mm in thickness depending upon the content of the pipes and the operating pressures of the systems. The role requires the knowledge and skills to implement the specified method of jointing required within often complex piping systems. The Pipefitter must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental processes and procedures.
You will be expected to take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work and be proactive in finding solutions to problems and identifying improvements to processes.

Qualification requirements:
5 GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subject.
