YOUR NEW ROLE
1. Lead the Site Team - Ensure the site runs smoothly and safely.
2. Maximise Commercial Performance - Drive the financial success of the project, staying on track and budget.
3. Work closely with Procurement - Ensure the site has everything it needs - from materials to manpower.
4. Manage Forecasting and Changes - Keep everyone updated on project forecasts and any changes, managing scope carefully and planning for unexpected work.
5. Identify Opportunities and Risks - Report risks and opportunities to senior management, helping the team make informed decisions.
6. Standards - Ensure the work is completed to the highest quality standards, with no defects, and that all plans and processes are followed.
About You
1. Experience in tunnelling and shaft projects, ideally worked in highly regulated environments and have experience with TBM.
2. A strong understanding of civil engineering would be a big plus, but your tunnelling expertise is key.
3. You’ll be comfortable working with NEC contracts and have experience managing changes and contracts.
4. You’ll be skilled at managing risks, designing solutions, and keeping projects on track.
5. Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and an SMSTS qualification.
6. You’ll know how to challenge designs and find solutions to keep the project moving forward.
7. Able to manage projects with minimal supervision and take ownership of your work.
Salary And Benefits
Depending upon your experience but in the range of £60,000 - £75,000.
