The roles and responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
Daily management of depot Managers ensuring relevant HR policies are followed
Work alongside depot managers to obtain depot KPIs to be reported to the CHD Manager at regular points.
Work alongside the Home Delivery training academy to build training requirements for teams
Ensure depot managers are reporting on required KPIs correctly and on time
Managing depot processes and ensuring they are being completed by the department staff in correct & timely manner.
Ensuring processes and policies are mirrored across all Home Delivery Depots
Coaching and support to all Delivery Depot managers
Payroll processing for direct reports
Management of the shunting stock network between delivery depots and resolve any network issues
Ensuring the servicing & maintenance schedules are being actioned by the fleet Administrators to minimise downtime of depot vehicles and HGV fleet
Maintaining active communications with depots and departments to encourage clear communication channels.
