An exciting development opportunity for a newly qualified exceptional candidate, with demonstrable potential, to progress into an available Band 6 role. T he development programme offers the successful candidate the opportunity, as a Band 5, to successfully work through and complete the competencies for Band 6 .
W e may consider part time applicants or those keen on working “9-day fortnights”.
We are looking for clinicians who wish to develop their skills in all aspects of Podiatry ( high risk care, wound care, offloading /MSK, nail surgery) and work in a supportive team.
Our Podiatry services offer care to patients at risk who suffer from metabolic, vascular or neurological disorders, e.g. diabetes that place the lower limb in a compromised situation.
All Podiatry staff are supported with regular supervision, preceptorship for newly qualified staff, annual appraisals, personal development plans and a comprehensive local and cooperate inductions.
We will nurture you gradually, and we will ensure that you’re not be thrown in at the deep end. We will work with you to build your clinical skills through regular support and supervision, and ensure that you start with routine work, until you are ready to take on new patients, wound care, nail surgery and offloading .
Main duties of the job
This an exciting opportunity as Development Band 5 Podiatrist role progressing to Band 6 Podiatrist on successful completion of competencies.
You will be required to assess, diagnose, develop and implement individual treatment plans for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs.
Nail surgery sessions will be a requirement for this post
Care will be provided in a range of Primary and Community settings, working independently and often in within a team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The3/4 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
• Degree level qualification in podiatry (or equivalent) & Registration with the HCPC as a podiatrist
• Local anaesthetic certificate
• Car driver & possess full UK driver’s license or evidence of ability to travel to designated base & other sites; ability to travel independently between multiple sites to fulfil the requirements of the position

Education/Qualifications/Training
* Degree level qualification in podiatry (or equivalent)
